The stylish black and white Silver Duckwing Old English Game Bantam rooster has black plumage with a silvery white head and neck, shoulder, saddle, and wing bay feathers. The beak is white and the shanks are pinkish.
The hens look quit different. Their black feathers mingled with white makes them look gray, contrasting with breast feathers that are salmon in color. The Silver Duckwing Old English Game Bantam was recognized by the Standard of Perfection in 1938.
Old English Game Bantams like to roost 3 to 4 feet high, or even more. These diminutive birds get along well in a small area, and they don’t eat much commercial feed, which they actively supplement by foraging.
