About Khaki Campbell Ducks
Khaki Campbell Duck originated in England in 1901. They arrived in the United States in 1929. Khaki Campbell ducks were admitted into the American Standard of Perfection in 1941.
Khaki Campbell Duck drakes have an upright posture because of their Indian Runner Duck lineage. They have a green or bluish-green bill, greenish-bronze heads and backs, with the remainder of the plumage being a shad of khaki tan.
Khaki Campbell ducks are known to start laying excellent numbers by 5-7 months of age. They are one of most prolific egg layers (up to 300/yr) of the duck breed and can be known to produce more than chickens. If you like to use duck eggs in cooking or for consumption then this is the breed for your family.
Khaki Campbell ducks are flighty, active, and avid foragers. However, they adapt to all areas extremely well making them a good choice for any climate from the desert to the freezing cold. This makes them a good farm or backyard duck for everyone.
