Columbian Wyandotte Bantam

The Columbian Wyandotte bantam is a smaller version of our standard Columbian Wyandotte. Unlike the large version, developed in North America, the bantam version came to us from Britain. It was admitted to the American Poultry Association’s Standard of Perfection in 1933.

Like the larger Columbian Wyandotte, the bantam version has a rose comb, making these chickens particularly winter hardy. They are also calm and friendly, making them especially easy for children to care for.

As bantams, they eat less and require much less space in the backyard. Columbian Wyandotte bantams therefore make terrific backyard pets.
